I am doing my first oil change on a 1975 CR250. I have a CLYMER manual for the bike, the problem is, when I read the manual, I get confused by the directions on the page, so I'm hoping that one of you guys who has done this a million times, might be able to give me a quick list of procedures to follow so I can do this correctly. The book says add from 0.9 to 1.4 U.S. quarts of oil...seems pretty vague...and that the oil level-when filled-should be between the top and bottom marks of the dipstick-my bike just has a cap, no dipstick. Also, if anyone can recommend a specific brand and weight for my bike, which is factory stock, I would appreciate the help. If someone can also recommend a good brand of pre-mix oil, I would appreciate that as well. Thanks, Anthony.
