The first '73 shown here is an unrestored original. After the owner bought his new bike he also bought a desert tank for it the same day. He brought the bike and tank home and swapped tanks, putting the new tank in the attic in a box for 29 years.

I seriously believe that in the United States, this bike is one of a handful of original Elsinores in this kind of condition that haven't been restored. It is a pure joy to look at and admire.

I entered it in the 2002 Vintage Janapese Motorcycle show near York, PA on 8/18. There were only a handful of dirt bikes there and only two real MXers, my '73 CR250M and a '74 CR125M. This gorgeous bike took on all the very nice street bikes and took "Best of Show" honors. How cool is that?

I've put together a 78-picture slideshow of this bike. Click the picture below to begin.

The second '73 I own is my race bike that I compete with in AHRMA sanctioned events in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. It has Works Performance shocks on the rear, a Circle F pipe, Renthal bars, and a PVL Electronic ignition. It has a Michelin 4.50X18 S12 on the rear. Everything else is stock.

I acquired this '74 CR125M in March 2002. It came from Leesburg, VA. One of my '73 CR250M's was part of the deal. My plan is to restore this bike to showroom condition so it can keep my pristine '73 CR250M company. Before I restore it I might race it a bit.

I picked this '75 MR50 up to use as a pit bike at the races. I'm collecting duplicate plastic and tank that I will paint silver and expert green to match my '73 CR. I found an aftermarket down pipe for it too.

I acquired this '79 CR250R in August 2002 at the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Show & Swap Meet near York, PA. It pulls really strong but is in need of restoration. Below are a few "Before" pictures. I'll post the "After" pictures when I get it restored.

Well, it's not fully restored yet but it is race ready. I'll complete the restoration during the winter months.

The finished product. I took these are pictures of the bike just prior to its first moto in the AHRMA PV National at Waldo, FL in 2003....

The '83 is not an Elsinore but it is a CR and a fine CR at that. I bought this bike in New Jersey and completely dismantled it, restored it, and reassembled it to its present condition. The pipe is a DG pipe with a special High Performance Coating used on top fuel dragster headers. The seat is a Ceet brand cover with incorrect CR lettering on the side and incorrect CEET lettering on the back. It has a Michelin 3.00X21 M12 on the front and a Michelin 5.10X18 S12 on the rear. It has Renthal Bars and everything else is stock. The race picture was taken of me at Southwick, MA in August 2002.
